This work begins with the observation of an architectural problem that creates a paradoxical situation in Belo Horizonte. In this city, there is little use of industrialized construction systems, such as precast concrete, despite their availability. Such rational systems usually result in more efficient and potentially cheaper construction than conventional systems. Based on this, we attempt to understand this situation, its reasons, and possible solutions. Here, we record part of the context of the civil construction market and architectural projects in Belo Horizonte. We seek to broaden the discussions on industrialization in civil construction and its direct implications for architects' design thinking.
