Aline Taireh was born in a faraway land called Damascus, Syria. She was only nine years old when she moved to Southern California with her family and has loved travel and adventure ever since. During the day, Aline is a lawyer, but her real passion is pursuing adventure and self-exploration. Aline has been creating this book in her heart and mind for almost eight years. She finally wrote Are There Pancakes in Amsterdam? thanks to the inspiration of her daughter, Margot, the encouragement of her husband, Brian, and to honor the memory of her father, George. In addition to being a mother, a wife, a feminist, and a hopeful writer, Aline loves to read books, dance like no one is watching, travel to new places, and spend time with her family and friends.
