Owen-Crocker, BA PhD (Newcastle-on-Tyne) FSA, Professor Emerita of The University of Manchester, was formerly Professor of Anglo-Saxon Culture and Director of the Manchester Centre for Anglo-Saxon Studies. Her books include Dress in Anglo-Saxon England and The Bayeux Tapestry. Maren Clegg Hyer BA MA PhD (University of Toronto), Professor at Valdosta State University. Books include The Material Culture of Daily Living in the Anglo-Saxon World and its subsequent volumes on built environment, water environments, and sense and feeling in the material world of the early English peoples.
