Ian (Harv) Harvey, is the product of family and societal norms not quite coming together as they should.As a result he seldom aspired to go with the status quo. In fact he often went out of his way to challenge the systems he thought were not serving society. It would be fair to say he has annoyed more people than he can remember.His Father Bill would say he was a 'cross grained bastard' at times.He's a proud father of three very cool kids, Gabby, Guy and Daniel and amazed that two of them know enough about the reproductive system to produce three wonderful mokopuna. He's realised he's a better grandfather than father. Next time round he will just go straight to being a grandfather.Today, Harv lives on an 8ha wee farm of sand country west of Bulls, in the North Island of Aotearoa New Zealand with his wife Kate, three horses and three cats. No dogs!After six years of regenerative farming practices on this plot of land, he is learning that he knows so little about the soil.He's also a fungi junky.And he's still learning a lot about people.
