Meet Aspen, a pretty white Lab mix who tells the story of how she finds her true purpose. Her first memories are from being at a farm with her sister, Honey. They have many adventures until they arrive at a foster home with a kind woman named Margot. As they adjust to their new home, suddenly Honey leaves and Aspen begins to question what her role will be. She watches the other dog in the house go out to do therapy dog work and then she realizes she is scared of noises. Family members lead busy lives as she adjusts to this new environment and while she feels loved, she's just not sure who she is. Then, service dog puppies begin arriving. Why are they there and learning so many things she doesn't know? They have a role they are learning, and Brisco already has a job. What is her role, she wonders. Follow her journey from being a rescue puppy, to being a member of a growing family, to ultimately becoming a big sister, In the end, she finds herself in the role of being a friend to many service dog puppies who snuggle their way into her heart.
