Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) represents the chronic inflammatory disease prototype;it is characterized by synovial membrane inflammation, cartilage destruction, boneerosion, joint deformity and functional disability of the affected individual.Molecular and Immunological study was performed to determine the influences ofgenetic variants of the IL-33 and TLR-2 genes on IL-33 level and TLR-2 level inRA patients as well as determined the genotypes and alleles associated with theincidence of RA disease.The case study included 35RA patientssuffering from streptococcus pyogenesinfection (4 male and 31female) attending the to rheumatoid arithritis diseasecenter at Al- Sadder Medical City in AL- Najaf Provenancein the period extendingfrom November 2018 until end of January 2019. With ages ranged from30 to 69years old. The control groups included 15 healthy persons (5 male and 10 female)with the same ages and sex of the patients were randomly selected from thehospitals and the local community. After the demographic and clinical data were-collected from the patients, the sera were used to determine total serum IL-33,TLR-2 levels by Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, Anti-streptolysinO(ASO) test.
