Chuck Whelon is a cartoonist, illustrator, author, and game designer based in San Francisco, California. Planet Urf Entertainment® is his publishing imprint.Chuck is best known as the creator of the humorous fantasy webcomic Pewfell, a semi-autobiographical epic fantasy sit-com that has spanned several graphic novels and over two decades of publishing, first appearing on the trailblazing ModernTales.com. He's also the mind behind Urfspace: Cartoons of the Future and the glam-punk art/music universe of Astrokitty, which blends fashion, comics, music, and sci-fi into a vibrant visual narrative.An accomplished illustrator of children's books, Chuck has authored dozens of internationally distributed puzzle and activity titles for publishers such as Penguin Random House, Simon & Schuster, and Dover Publications. His titles include Where's the Mermaid?, Where's the Bunny?, Wizard Pickles, and the What to Doodle? series. His puzzle book illustrations have appeared in everything from Highlights Magazine to Britain's Daily Mail newspaper.In the world of tabletop games, Chuck is the creator of the cult-favorite board game Legitimacy: The Game of Royal Bastards, and has illustrated numerous titles for Minion Games, including Those Pesky Humans, Nile, and Battle Merchants. For over two decades, he has been a regular contributor to Dungeon Crawl Classics from Goodman Games, providing maps, cartoons, and covers.Originally from Basingstoke, England, Chuck now lives in San Francisco's Excelsior District with his wife and son.
