Er promovierte in Psychologie an der Bundesuniversität von Bahia. Derzeit ist er Leiter der Abteilung für Ausbildung und Fakultätsentwicklung der wissenschaftlichen Direktion, Dozent an der Fakultät für Erziehungswissenschaften und Psychologie und Forscher am Zentrum für bildungspolitische Studien an der Pädagogischen Universität Mosambik.
