Davis is the author of Autism for Parents as well as Autism Unleashed, Genius Unleashed .His work is dedicated to helping parents and other caregivers understand, connect with, and support their children with autism.James' eldest grandson, who is now in his early twenties, was diagnosed with Asperger's as a small child. Because of this, James has spent many years studying the condition to better understand his grandson and build a deeper connection with him. As he deepened his understanding, he was able to anticipate the challenges he would face and apply strategies to help him through. Realizing how overwhelming an autism diagnosis can feel to parents with little experience, he's now driven to share his research through his writing, which is crafted specifically for an audience of parents and caregivers, bearing their unique concerns in mind. James graduated from Stanford University in 1970 and studied under the University of Connecticut's MBA program. He then moved on to work in the family business. His family is very important to him, and he's always looking for ways to deepen his relationship with each member.
