Tubias Capaina est diplômé en anthropologie et a suivi une formation en arts plastiques à l'école Bindarte, en psychopédagogie à l'université catholique du Mozambique, en plans d'entreprise et en travail en réseau à l'université polytechnique et en gestion des ressources humaines à l'université Eduardo Mondlane. Il est professeur d'université et chercheur.
