Being in the twentieth century, it is undeniable that technology is playing a vital role in the lives of everyone. As time passes by, technology continues to grow and flourish as more and more studies are being done. That said, the proponents took hold of that concept and applied it in the field of agriculture, thus producing Smart Farming System. Smart Farm is basically the application of technology to the farming activities done manually. This paper presents an automated tomato grading system using image processing and fuzzy logic, both of which are to be implemented in Matlab. An Arduino UNO microcontroller is to be used for the hardware part as a control mechanism. Image processing is done by the use of L a b colorspacing and K-means clustering. With which the fuzzy logic input will be the number of GOOD pixels in a binarized image. Tomato grading shall be classified in three (3): GOOD, FAIR, and BAD and these outputs are assessed accordingly by the use of fuzzy inference rules. A conveyor system shall also be implemented which will be run by a DC motor which is controlled by the Arduino UNO.
