Mother was kind of a documentalist. Every one of her three daughters had a baby book with pictures, cards and dates of almost everything in each book. I tried to do the same thing for my girls. Mother was kind of a documentalist. Every one of her three daughters had a baby book with pictures, cards and dates of almost everything in each book. I tried to do the same thing for my girls. Since my grandchildren are busy with their own lives, I thought I would write this book for them to see what it was like for me when I grew up in the fifties and sixties. I had some problems that I overcame that might help other people too. None of my children or either of my grandchildren had my problem of bed wetting. There is a lot written about it, but this is what happened to me. We moved many times in California as the map on the cover shows. We kids did not know why, we just did what we were told and packed our things and went. I found out why in the seventh grade. You have to read the book to find out why that happened. There were many people who helped me along the way, especially my Godmother. You may also be a light is someone's life as she was for me. Mostly I found my way out of my dysfunctional family but went on to other dysfunctions. At the end of the book, I put in my "Lessons Learned". There are a lot of things I learned that aren't taught at school and sometimes not taught at home either. So read this book and see if you had to learn them the hard way as I did.

Dixie is also the author of Too Many Husbands; What Doesn't Work in Love and Marriage and The B in B.E.L.L.S. book. If you like this book, my life goes on with my first husband in that Las Vegas book. Dixie is now happily married to her sixth husband. They've been together over twenty years. Most people say, Third time's the charm, but as Dixie says, I am a slow learner, so it took me twice as long to get my charmmy Prince Charming!
