AllThrive 365 (formerly the Foundation for Senior Living) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals age with confidence-safely, independently, and with peace of mind. Since 1974, we've supported Arizonans through a holistic approach that includes health, housing, and connection services designed to meet people where they are and help them thrive every day of the year. Rooted in compassion, growth, resilience, and openness, AllThrive 365 continues to honor its legacy while embracing a bold, inclusive future. Our programs are built to support individuals and families across all stages of life, with a focus on whole-person wellness and community-based care. This book was created to commemorate a meaningful piece of our history: a beloved historic home that once stood as part of our organization's journey. After exploring many preservation options-including outreach to the Babbitt family, the Riordan Museum, and local historical societies-the decision was made to thoughtfully remove the house to make way for a new chapter of the City of Flagstaff's legacy. In doing so, we aim to preserve its memory and significance through this coffee table book, celebrating the stories and history it held within its walls. When 28-year-old David William Babbitt stepped off the train at the Flagstaff depot along with his younger brother William on Wednesday, April 7, 1886, we have to wonder if he had any inkling of just how much he and his family would influence the growth and development of the Flagstaff area in the coming decades and beyond. David Babbitt is seen as Northern Arizona's quintessential entrepreneur. The Babbitt family has made many contributions to Flagstaff, the state of Arizona and the surrounding states. This book will provide an overview of information about the history of Flagstaff, the Babbitt family, and examples of the design of the Babbitt House where David Babbitt and his family lived. The contributions of the Babbitt family to Flagstaff and Arizona are more than a house. It is a legacy of entrepreneurship that will always be remembered. The Babbitt House could not be saved, but we will always thank David and William Babbitt for getting off that train in Flagstaff, Arizona on April 7, 1886.
