King Johnson is an artist who received BFA and MFA degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University and The School of the Art Institute respectively, where he adamantly refused to be indoctrinated into mindless American contemporary art by his brain-dead teachers, with the sole exception of the great Canadian painter Milo Russell, to whom he is immensely indebted. Outside of that he is entirely self-taught, a so-called outsider artist or insane artist. But he is emphatically not a Dada-Surrealist, which are anti-art movements created with the sole purpose of destroying all living Christian art.
