Autorenporträt
Robert Edeson was born in Perth, Australia. He studied medicine at the University of Western Australia, has a research MPhil from the University of Cambridge, is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and a Diplomate of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Before becoming a novelist, he was a consultant anaesthetist and researcher, publishing in the neuroscience, biophysics, and mathematical literatures. His first novel, The Weaver Fish, won the 2012 T.A.G. Hungerford Award and was published by Fremantle Press in 2014. It was reissued worldwide by Aardvark Bureau in 2016. A second novel, Bad To Worse, was published by Fremantle Press in 2017. As a young doctor, he lived for some years in Canterbury, England; this region of Kent, home to anxious ghosts of pilgrims past, is the setting for The Worsener's Tale.
