One of Allen Ginsberg's lesser-known poems, and also one of his most contemporary: politics, irony and a celebration of language in a translation by Andrés Neuman... The presidential skeleton speaks, and the skeleton spokesman answers. The ayatollah skeleton speaks, and the Stalin skeleton replies. A short poem --thirty-three stanzas, four lines each, capturing a conversation-- with space to ask about politics, capitalism, climate change, drugs, racism, public education and all those issues that still matter to us today, and fit into a skeleton.
