Mme Ruby Patel est titulaire d'une licence et d'une maîtrise en sciences (médaille d'or), ainsi que d'un master en philosophie, avec un excellent dossier académique. Elle a soutenu sa thèse de doctorat sur la physiologie végétale. Elle a mené des recherches en physiologie végétale, culture tissulaire végétale, horticulture et sciences biologiques, qui ont fait l'objet de publications internationales. Elle remercie le DST (New Delhi) pour son aide financière.
