Sheri-Lynn Kenny loves reading as much as telling stories. She has a passion for sketching, drawing and painting. She grew up in a small community in Northern Ontario and joined the Canadian Navy after graduating high school. Sheri-Lynn traveled the world seeing many different cultures and countries. After leaving the Navy, she trained as an elementary teacher and began substituting in classrooms. Sheri-Lynn is passionate about big ideas such as environmental issues, biodiversity, multiculturalism, overcoming adversity, bullying, self-esteem and self-respect. Her main focus in writing children's books is to teach big ideas to little people. She has written and illustrated seven children's books to date including Battle at Bogs Hollow, The Kitchen of Many Colours, The Alphabet According to Dewey, Counting Kittens, The Adventures of Digbee: Have You Seen My Touque, The Adventures of Digbee: The Mud Flat Bullies and Born to Be Me.
