Edward Avila is a seasoned Talent Acquisition Executive with over 30 years of experience building high-performing teams in Silicon Valley's most innovative tech environments. He served as the first in-house Vice President of Talent Acquisition at a data intelligence startup, where - starting at Series B - he helped scale the company from 100 to over 850 employees. During this high-growth phase, Edward deepened his understanding of how to embed a data culture mindset into hiring strategies and building global teams.Throughout his career, Edward has led recruiting initiatives, executive coaching programs, and employer branding efforts across both startups and enterprise organizations.In his debut book, "Be Bullish 101", Edward shared insider strategies to help college students and early-career professionals build career readiness and disrupt outdated approaches to launching a career. Edward holds a Master's in Organizational Development from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor's in Political Science from Loyola Marymount University.
