Beatriz aims to be a top goal-scorer for Lewes FC, but she's struggling with her weight, her friends, her school and her dad. Meanwhile her grandfather thinks she needs assistance from the unknown, so together the two develop a pre-match ritual. It might be superstition, but if it helps Bea get on the ball then she'll take it. Yet her dad and his criminal contacts could still ruin everything, and who is the mysterious boy willing to risk his own safety to support Bea and her dream of being a professional footballer?¿ Bea on the Ball, a novel inspired by Lewes FC and their Equality FC campaign.
