Bud's writing career began shortly after he retired from the Navy in 1975. His articles were often based on topics he had presented at annual meetings and conventions.Bud was later recruited by Sinclair Community College, where he served as an instructor for twenty-two years. During this time, he was also invited by McGraw Hill Publishers to assist in editing and writing medical textbooks, including Basic Medical Terminology, which was used at Sinclair College.At Sinclair, Bud taught courses in Basic Medical Terminology, Advanced Medical Terminology, and Introduction to Computers.
