We think we are in control of our lives, but we may just be following footprints already stepped out for us. Reagan never knew she was related to the lady who spoke from behind the glass of a silver mirror. How much do any of us really know about the people who came before us?We read their names and the date of their birth and death, but hardly ever anything beyond those facts. We never know the sorrows they endured or the happiness they enjoyed. Today, the present, is not the only time tears have been shed, laughter shared with others or secrets hidden from view.

Autorenporträt
Gayle Crawford grew up in Savannah, Georgia. She and her late husband, Ron, sailed the coastal area for thirty years. Most of Gayle's work has been poetry, published in numerous poetry collections and magazines. The author, Eugenia Price, praised her poem, Sapelo, and asked permission to have it read in the Baptist Church on the island. The Georgia Society of Writers in Concert named Gayle Poet of the Year in 2000. She was asked to read selected poems during the second annual presentation of Georgia Writers.
