Tammy Powder is a mother of four children, a certified meditation teacher and public speaker who has taken special training to help children learn mindfulness tools. She has put her education and experience to good use at local schools and designed workshops to help children create their own toolboxes for coping with anxiety. Tammy loves working with children and has helped them learn, like Bella, how to build their own "bossy drivers". As a parent advocate, Tammy's work involves teaching parents how important Self-Care is and informing them about mental health issues that their children might face. This firsthand experience working with her own daughters has shown Tammy how much parents and children deeply need more books just like this one. Tammy lives in Kenaston, Saskatchewan, with her husband, their youngest child, and their four dogs which include German Shepherds.
