Autorenporträt
Paresh Kumar Patnaik, an eminent story teller and novelist of Odia literature, is well-known for his unique style of writing short stories for the last three decades. A recipient of Odisha Sahitya Academy award, Patnaik has carved a niche for himself with the craft of his storytelling. His novels and short stories highlight social issues with a unique style of humour and compassion. He is a strong voice against religious fanaticism and superstitions, while his short stories on mythology show new interpretations of characters. He has fifteen short story collections and three novels to his credit. He lives in Bhubaneswar with his wife Tapasi and son Priyam. He can be reached at pareshpatnaik@rediffmail.com.
