This book introduces a modular informetric framework for journal-level bibliometric analysis, applied to the Journal of Environmental Management (JEM). Integrating PRISMA-guided protocols, Scopus data, and open-source tools like VOSviewer and Biblioshiny, it offers a replicable approach for mapping scholarly ecosystems. Through seven analytical modules-covering publication trends, citation impact, co-authorship networks, thematic evolution, bibliographic coupling, and SDG alignment-the book enables comprehensive, evidence-based evaluation of academic journals. Designed for researchers, editors, and policymakers, it bridges theory and practice in research assessment, promoting transparency, equity, and methodological rigor. The framework is scalable across disciplines and adaptable to future innovations in altmetrics, AI, and semantic analysis. This work serves both as a guidebook for informetric analysis and as a call for more inclusive, data-informed approaches to evaluating scientific contribution in a rapidly evolving knowledge landscape.
