In Milan, falling in love is always in style... After getting kicked out of college--again--Lydia St. Clair is sentenced to the ultimate punishment: nanny duty in Milan, Italy. Her new charge, Isabella Rossi, might only be six, but she negotiates like a lawyer and manipulates like a mob boss. Lydia's ready to bail...until she discovers Isabella's father is Marco Rossi, the rising star of Milan's fashion scene. Fashion has always been Lydia's secret dream--one her ultra-strict family would never approve of. But here? Thousands of miles away from their expectations? This is her chance. One bold pitch later, Lydia lands an internship at Rossi Designs, working with mood boards, couture fabrics, and Nico Moretti--a gorgeous model who's equal parts charming, funny, and dangerously kissable. For the first time, her life fits. Until everything unravels--career, future, and the romance she never saw coming. Running away has always been Lydia's default setting. But Milan has given her something she's never had before: a dream worth fighting for... and a man worth staying for. Perfect for fans of Emily in Paris, The Devil Wears Prada, and laugh-out-loud nanny romances with a swoon-worthy European escape.
Autorenporträt
Libby Tanner grew up in a small town in Northern California that would be quaint and charming in a fictional novel, but felt small and suffocating as a teenager. Yes, she left as fast as she could, and yes, she misses it very much. In college Libby earned a degree in Communications. She wishes she would have studied creative writing instead of playing it safe, but also remembers she had student loans to pay off. Since living abroad in Italy and living abroad in Chile, Libby speaks a nearly useless combination of Italian and Spanish that is understood by neither Italians nor Spanish-speakers. She is the mother of four sweet hooligans and is married to the world's sexiest accountant. She resides in Florida.
