G. Saravanan, M. Pharm., Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, MNR College of Pharmacy, Sangareddy, Gr. Hyderabad. He received his B. Pharm., a degree from J.K.K.M.M.R.F. College of Pharmacy, B. Komarapalayam, M. Pharm., from C.L. Baid Metha College of Pharmacy, Chennai, and Ph.D., from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. He has been teaching Pharmaceutical Biochemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry, Chemistry of Natural Products, and Pharmaceutical Inorganic Chemistry and performing research work in synthetic medicinal chemistry on novel heterocyclic bio-active compounds for fifteen years. He was a college topper in B. Pharm., and got distinction in M. Pharm. He has received the best paper award six times. In 2018, he received the best teacher award & best researcher award from MNR Educational Trust, Hyderabad. He also secured the best achiever award in the year 2019 from the Association of Pharmacy Professionals, Bhopal. He is the author/co-author of over 100 papers, which include original research articles and presentations at various conferences and symposiums. He became the editorial board member of the International journal "Anti-infective agents" published by Bentham science publishers. He is a life member of the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI), Indian Pharmacy Graduates Association (IPGA), and Association of Pharmacy Professionals (APP) and a recognized research guide for Ph.D., scholars at Osmania University.
