The IGF-1 score followed the trends observed previously. Post-operative glycemic values at 45 days (86.18 ± 8.53mg/dL) and 1 year (82.50 ± 9.19mg/dL) were lower than pre-operatively (94.54 ± 23.70mg/dL) and the 1-year and non-obese groups were similar. The mean insulin levels in patients 45 days (9.26 ± 4.86uU/mL) and one year (6.71 ± 4.41uU/mL) post-operatively were lower than those found pre-operatively (62.56 ± 47.53uU/mL) and similar to those in the non-obese group. HOMA-IR decreased in the post-operative groups compared to the pre-operative group.
