Since childhood, the author was very much interested in exploring as how personality traits are linked to first, middle, youngest or onlyborn children. The author herself is a middle born in the family having three sisters.The book will certainly help the parents in adopting preventative measures about how the order of their children will affect the child's personality. In the present study, 120 adolescents completed the NEO-FFI and Standard Progressive Matrices and gave information on personality and intelligence. Using One Way Analysis of Variance and Duncan's Multiple Range Test, this study finds that firstborns have reported significantly higher level on the dimension of neuroticism and conscientiousness, middleborns have reported significantly higher level on the dimension of extraversion, lastborns have reported significantly higher level on the dimension of openness to experience and agreeableness and first borns and onlyborns have reported significantly higher level of intelligence.

Sie hat 80 Forschungsarbeiten in referierten internationalen und nationalen Fachzeitschriften veröffentlicht und ist Autorin eines Buches über "Persönlichkeit und soziale Normen".
