Mondre Moffett is a prolific trumpeter, composer, bandleader, educator, and author, known for his innovative approaches to jazz and ethnomusicology. His musical journey spans several decades, including playing with the Duke Ellington Orchestra and touring with the Moffett Family Band Jazz Band, led by his father Charles Moffett. As a college professor, Mondre Moffett has dedicated his career to sharing the rich and diverse musical traditions of Black American music with students and audiences alike.
