JUSTIN TORRES is the author of We the Animals and Blackouts, which won the National Book Award for Fiction and was a finalist for the Orwell Prize for Political Fiction. He has published short fiction in the New Yorker, Harper's and Granta, among other publications. He lives in Los Angeles and teaches at UCLA.
