Autorenporträt
Alba (on the right) is striving to finish her PhD in Palaeogenetics at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig. The book that you are currently holding is part of the reasons why she hasn't managed to graduate yet: She could type and type, for hours on end ... as long as it doesn't involve her long-overdue thesis. Her other favourite distractions include tea tasting, swing dancing, textile crafting and mushroom hunting (having been born and raised in the Catalan Pyrenees, she takes the latter very seriously!). She moved to Germany in 2019 to pursue her studies. Before that, she lived in Japan, Sweden, France, the Netherlands and Spain, for the same reason. Her loyal companions during such a journey included her beloved husband William, and her two cats Dikkie Dik and Kirjava (on the right).
