Autorenporträt
Kate Vallance was born in Australia but moved to the UK as a child. Her education was largely in and around London. After graduation she trained as a junior teacher. She has travelled widely both before and after her marriage to a British air force pilot. They have two grownup children and two grandsons, and the family have lived in several European countries. Her story is based on the pigs that her daughter kept as pets.
