Born in Burundi of Rwandan parents, Sonia Muhimpundu Kayishema immigrated to Canada at 15 and has since dedicated over 15 years to supporting marginalized communities as a multilingual worker. With a master's in international relations from Laval University and a bachelor's in law and sociology from Laurentian University, both in Canada, Sonia has contributed to community development both locally and internationally, including projects in Mexico, Rwanda, and Senegal. Sonia finds solace in poetry, drawing inspiration from life's beauty and its challenges, whether personal experiences or broader societal issues.
