This study seeks to compare the performance of six Brazilian municipal forums on Solidarity Economy. It is a pioneering study, carried out as part of an extension course at the Integrated Multidisciplinary Center for Studies, Training, and Intervention in Solidarity Economy (NuMI-EcoSol) at the Federal University of São Carlos. Its objective is to support the development of existing Brazilian municipal forums and the creation of others that can follow their example. To this end, it uses the following methodologies: as an epistemological axis, the critical-dialectical method, historicizing the theme; as a logical axis of investigation, the hypothetical-deductive method, starting from the main hypothesis that a national bank represents more social and economic benefits for the country than a foreign bank; as a technical axis of investigation, non-participatory observational research, of the bibliographic and documentary types. Solidarity Economy is, a priori, an alternative form ofwork, income, and social inclusion, and, a posteriori, a self-managed form of work based on solidarity, the valorization of human labor, and sustainable development.
