Sissel Waage, Ph.D. Autora e cientista ambiental, trabalhou para o Programa World Wildlife Fund (WWF) na África, nas empresas Sustainable Northwet, The Natural Step, Forest Trends e Business for Social Responsibility. Sissel editou dois livros de não-ficção, incluindo Ignition: What You Can Do Fight Global Warming e Spark a Movement (Island Press, 2007), e Ants, Galileo, and Gandhi: Designing the Future of Business through Nature, Genius, e Compassion (Routledge, 2003). Os artigos de Sissel foram publicados nas revistas The Economist, The Guardian, Environmental Leader, GreenBiz, Corporate Environmental Strategy e Environmental Finance. Ela tem Ph.D. e mestrado em Ciência Ambiental, Política e Gestão pela Universidade da Califórnia, Berkeley, bem como bacharelado em Ciências Políticas pela Amherst College. Além disso, Sissel estudou na National University of Singapore como aluna intercambista, e no Institute of Human Rights da University of Oslo como aluna da Fulbright.
