M. Sarah Smedman is professor of children's literature at Minnesota State University, Moorhead. Joel D. Chaston is professor of English at Southwest Missouri State University, where he teaches courses in children's, young adult, and Victorian literature. He is also an Associate Editor of Children's Literature Association Quarterly and 2002-2003 President of ChLA.
