Nearing the end of the 2021 elk season with a limited quota draw tag in his pocket, Joel encountered the bull that would not only be meat in the freezer or a trophy on the wall but would inspire a modern-day parable to bring hope to the hurting. The heart of Broken is so aptly reflected in the theme verse, Matthew 11:28. So many have lost a will to fight, a purpose in life, and even a reason to live. They seek peace, rest, and hope in their darkest hours. Just like Joel's broken bull was special to him, so too each broken soul is deeply loved and special to the God of the universe. The Broken video series, book, and group study all speak to your pain through five key elements that will allow you to exhale as you face your darkest valleys.
