Being passionate is all about doing something you love and becoming good at it. With this cookbook, Nebiyu Semunegus is doing just that. He was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and later moved to the U.S. with his family. His parents wanted their children to be able to live out the American dream and be successful. Nebiyu always had passion for cooking because the whole family being involved in cooking was a family tradition. It's almost like every day was Thanksgiving at his house! Helping his mother made him realize he wanted to be a chef when he grew up. His first job in high school was washing dishes and delivering pizza at a local pizzeria. After a couple of months, he became their short order cook, which made him even more confident with his cooking. After graduating, he attended culinary school to pursue his dream of becoming a chef. From that point, he has progressed from family-owned restaurants to fine dining, to five-star, five-diamond hotels in New York City. Nebiyu is married to a wonderful wife and together they have two beautiful children and a fur baby, and they all encouraged him to write this book.
