Powerful poetry that will strum a chord with woman everywhere. Caged, Clipped and Cabinet Filed, is a journey through the piercingly perceptive and despairingly broken thoughts of a woman caged by love, expectations, fear, shame, self-doubt and societal wiring. As she wrestles against the games, manipulations, her own fears and conflicts, can she find the key to unlock the cage and stand tall in her freedom? Lyrically rich and raw, the reader feels every emotion as the female protagonist fights for personal growth and courage in the hope of reclaiming her authenticity. Complimented by visually striking artworks, this feminist voice is singing loud and strong. "The cage is here, the steel is brutal Wings are broken but my voice is crucial So... Sing little bird sing."
Autorenporträt
Susie Sotiropoulos is a feminist artist, who predominantly creates artworks of woman. Open and reflective, she focuses on the female perspective and the destructive nature of how the patriarchal structure underpinning society is at the heart of human struggles. Creating is the core of her being but has been side-lined repeatedly. Examining these themes, this artist yearns to peel back the imposed, conditioned layers and find freedom in her authenticity.
