Autorenporträt
John Campbell was born in Horden, County Durham in 1940. He has had a lifelong interest in all visual aspects of the arts, including drawings, photography, and video documentary production. Beginning employment in department store display he went on to achieve B.Ed. degree at Durham University. John taught mainly Geography before taking early retirement to pursue his passion for drawing and capturing the beauty of the British countryside. This led to a successful business in picture sales of his landscapes in dry pencil, this at the time was an unusual and original method. In recent years has involved creating many video documentary on a wide variety of subjects and given talks to many groups and organisations.
