This book guide the researchers in the field of benchmarking. Three tools of benchmarking namely,Capacity Utilization (CU), Technical Efficiency (TE) and Total Factor Productivity (TFP) Growth have been used for accessing the performance of Indian Sugar industry. A detailed theory about measuring CU, TE and TFP Growth has been discussed. In addition, advance techniques of bootstrapping have also been utilized to attain bias-corrected efficiency scores and check the statistical significance of TFP growth. Application of Panel-data econometric modelling is also an additional feature of the book. In its 'Appendix on Computer Programming', a complete guide has been given for the readers to calculate and bootstrap CU, TE, and TFP growth using GAMS and FEAR softwares. Thus, the book is a complete package of the theory of advance mathematical and econometric techniques, and their applications in research using advance computer softwares.
