Autorenporträt
Li Peilin completed Ph.D. in sociology from the Sorbonne University in Paris. He is Director of the Division of Social Science and Law, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Member of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People’s Congress and Vice Chairman of the Social Development Committee of the NPC. He is Member of the Expert Committee of the 14th Five-Year Plan and Member of the Academic Degrees Committee of The State Council. The Other Invisible Hand: The Transformation of Social Structure, Social Transformation and The Chinese Experience, The End of Villages, Ten Lectures on harmonious Society, Social Reform and Social Governance, The Great Revolution: Migrant Workers and the Middle Class, etc. He is Chief Editor of the annual report “Analysis and Forecast of China's Social Situation” (Social Blue Book). In 2018, he was awarded the second Fei Xiaotong Academic Achievement Award. He was elected as Foreign Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 2019.
