Efraim Wust has been the cataloguer of Arabic, Persian, and Turkish manuscripts at the National Library of Israel since 1970. Following his retirement in 2002, he has continued his position in a voluntary capacity. Raquel Ukeles is the Curator of the Islam and Middle East Collection of the National Library of Israel. She received her PhD in Islamic studies from Harvard University in 2006, and has published on medieval Islamic devotional law.
