Michelle Brooks has published a collection of poetry, Make Yourself Small, (Backwater Press), and a novella, Dead Girl, Live Boy, (Storylandia Press). Her poetry, photography, short stories, and essays have been published in Threepenny Review, Iowa Review, Alaska Quarterly Review, Gargoyle, and elsewhere. A native Texan, she has spent much of her adult life in Detroit.
