Rei Kesis a obtenu une licence en théologie en 2004 à l'Université d'Afrique de l'Est, à Baraton, une maîtrise en théologie pastorale en 2009 à l'Université adventiste d'Afrique et un doctorat en études religieuses en 2014 à l'Université Kenyatta. Il travaille à l'université d'Afrique de l'Est, à Baraton, depuis 2004, en tant que doyen des hommes, chargé de cours et aumônier. Il est également mari et père.
