Ever wondered about the secrets behind great leadership? Chaos & Pain breaks down the development of true leadership by exploring real-world experiences from federal investigations and Navy SEAL professionals who have learned to function effectively in volatility, complexity, chaos, and uncertain situations, with the understanding that the team comes before self and that team collaboration and outcomes may depend on individual decisions. Drawing from his experiences as an athlete, ATF agent team leader, university professor, and his Ph.D. research with Navy SEALs, Jason Wick offers a unique perspective on leader development, philosophy, and culture applicable across various sectors. Understanding leadership nuances allows people to create structured learning experiences and leverage challenges to develop effective leaders, enriching professional development programs and fostering leadership growth.
Dr. Jason Wick has accumulated extensive leadership knowledge through 25 years as an ATF Special Agent, where he led complex crime investigations and participated in high-profile cases like the 1993 World Trade Center Bombing and the Pizza Bomber case as illustrated in the Netflix docu-series "Evil Genius". He also served on the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force and as an instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. After retiring from federal law enforcement, Dr. Wick spent eight years as a Professor at Gannon University, aiding students in pursuing criminal justice careers. His PhD in Organizational Leadership, with research focused on Navy SEAL's leadership development and philosophy, further enhances his expertise in leader development, philosophy, and culture.
