This is a retrospective study carried out in the Internal Medicine and Endocrinology Department of the EPS Taher Sfar in Mahdia, over a period from 2010 to December 31, 2016, and involving 324 patients hospitalized for urinary tract infection. The aim of this work was to determine the epidemiological, clinical, bacteriological, therapeutic and evolutionary characteristics of urinary tract infection in diabetics, and to study the risk factors of urinary tract infection in diabetics in order to prevent its occurrence. Our work had shown that UTI in diabetics was significantly more frequent in women and patients over 40 years of age. The typical clinical picture of pyelonephritis associating fever, back pain and urinary signs was observed in only half of diabetic patients, while purely febrile forms were less frequent. The occurrence of complications was not associated with diabetes.
