After raising two boys with his wife, William Grant Hubbard concluded his careers in education and business contracting. Free from work and family demands, William pursued delayed passions that included creating art. To that end he wrote and produced a play, I Am Not a Girl, at the Vancouver Cultch Theatre in 2018. Plans for an abridged version are in the works given the importance of educating an uninformed public on gender dysphoria.In his early twenties William taught elementary school and thoroughly enjoyed the intermediate grades and the focus on children's literature.Recent exposure to a neighbourhood family caused William to consider writing a children's book. Hence: Charlie.
