Charlie's Ashes: A Greatest Generation Story Sam Lombardo (100 years old), an Italian immigrant, retired Army lieutenant colonel, and twice widowed, has had enough of his WWII buddies passing away while he awaits his turn at Patriot House Senior Living Facility in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Whether it was the little girl with the pink Eiffel Tower applique on her white T-shirt or the rich cabernet sauvignon from Saint Emilion, he didn't know. But he was decided. He would think and go on the offense, just as he had in the Battle of the Bulge and the other battles fought before and after crossing the Rhine into the heart of Hitler's Germany. But first, he would lay the gauntly squarely before John Beard (101), Bill McCoween (93), and Joe Gossen (94).Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
Rich Adams is the son of an Army Colonel who fought in WWII and Korea and the first of three sons to graduate from the United States Military Academy (West Point). He is a Crispy Warrior, like the WWII veterans featured in Charlie's Ashes. After serving with the 101st Airborne/Airmobile Division in the jungles and rice paddies of Vietnam, including the Tet Offensive of 1968, and serving a short tour as an Army aviator in the Middle East, Adams resigned from the Army to become a civil/environmental engineer. He founded what would become an international consulting engineering company and served as an adjunct professor at Southern Methodist University and associate professor at the United States Military Academy. After selling his company, he has consulted privately, and currently serves as the chief strategy officer for Ion Power Group LLC, an innovative, eco-friendly renewable energy company, writing historical fiction as time allows.
